Craig Palmer '60
Washington Editor for ADA News (American Dental Association) and Ellen Rue Pierson, who "keeps things cool" at Washington DC Sidewell Friends School, were married Nov. 20, 2004, in Reston, Va., where the newlies dispensed of houses to make a home.

I have little to add by way of an update except to note that I've been happily retired from my law practice for about a year and a half. Otherwise, I would urge all brothers to add names and e-mail address to the DU site so that communications among us will be facilitated.
David G. Orr '64
Is a Research Professor of Anthropology at Temple University and the Senior Regional Archeologist for the Northeast Region of the National Park Service. He recently received a William Penn Foundation Grant to make a PBS movie on James Dexter and the African American Community at Philadelphia during the late eighteenth century.He also received this month a grant from the Mcfeely-Rogers Corporation to excavate a seventeenth century archaeological site in Marcus Hook Pennsylvania.In 2001 he completed an excavation for Earthwatch,Inc. in Cumae, Italy. Orr has been on the Discovery and History Channels during the last three years as part of various documentaries on valley Forge where he excavated from 1999-2002.He sees Roger Zepernick,a former DU housemate from 1962-64 here in North Philadelphia as often as he can.
Roger Zepernick '64
Was given the title of "Honorary Citizen of the Year" by the 2004 Puerto Rican Festival Committee in Philadelphia, PA. The recognition coincided with a celebration of 25 years of work by Centro Pedro Claver, Inc., the community based organization in North Philadelphia which Roger has directed since 1979. As a result of the honor Roger had an opportunity to share a festival podium with the "Citizen of the Year," Pennsylvania's Secretary of State, Pedro Cortes and to take an honorary position with co-workers and family in the annual Puerto Rican Day Parade. By the way, Roger made sure that his bio, which was published in several community newspapers, included a plug for his days in Delta Upsilon at OU.
Steve Rowley '65
Steve has served on the Board of Trustees of the Delta Upsilon Educational Foundation (DUEF) since 1993. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees since 1997. Steve, also, serves on the Executive Advisory Board of the College of Business at Ohio University. After starting his career with the IBM Corporation upon graduation from OU in 1965, Steve has spent the past 30 years in the Direct Marketing Industry. Most recently Steve was a co-owner and served as President & CEO of
Paragon Holdings Inc, the parent company of The Paragon Gifts and Bits and Pieces consumer catalogs. Steve recently sold his interest in the company and currently serves as a consultant to the new owners.

Greetings from Grand Rapids, MI! I graduated in 1978 with my B.A. in Government (n/k/aPoliticalScience). Recent developments for me include: 1. elected Vice-President, East Grand Rapids Public Schools Board of Education 2. appointed Chair, Environmental Litigation Group, Varnum Law Firm. My family is doing great, with one son a Junior at Hamilton College (Clinton, NY) majoring in Government, and my other son a high school Senior shopping for colleges. my wife and I enjoy kayaking,golfing and bicycling, and we all play tennis. Always good to hear from DU and Athens.

I have no idea how some of the brothers of the early eighties are doing! I am operating all the business functions of an Alaskan Native Corporation, Kake Tribal Corporation, with diversifies services ranging from tourism, construction, seafood processing, to providing military technology. On the part time side, I have been recently promoted to LTC and command an infantry battalion of the Alaska Army National Guard that encompasses a geographical area larger than the State of Montana. I currently have 130 men serving in Baghdad, Iraq and another 10 in Afghanistan. Married with 3 boys, one of them just starting college.

Married Andrea Thompson in Oct. 1996. Kids: Avery - 5 years old and Jake - 3 years old. Live in Powell, Ohio. Currently self-employed as a Business Broker (AJ Thompson Business Services).

Dennis McAllister '94
Is a Sales Specialist for automotive parts manufacturer, American Showa, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio. He and his wife Alison (Delta Gamma from OU) recently moved to their new home in Westerville, Ohio in December and are awaiting the birth of their first child (boy) in May.
Richard Lear '95
Graduated BA Sociology/ Criminology. Wife Colleen Lear is OU Graduate '96. I am a Compliance Officer for the Ohio Division of Liquor Control, Investigative Services Unit since 8/01. I work in the Dayton Area. I have been with the State of Ohio since 12/96. I previously worked for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections. We live in Monroe, Ohio. We have been married since 9/16/2000. Colleen works for Environmental Quality Management as a Geologist/Consultant in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

And his wife of nearly three years had their 2nd son Brendan in Sept. '04. John is currently Program Coordinator for Camp Christopher, a year-round camping facility. is in Mosul, Iraq right now with the Army doing intellegence work. He left the middle of August and will be there for 12 months. He is a private in active duty.

I've accepted the job of Asstistant Softball Coach at (are you ready for this) Miami (OH). it has been really hard to accept this title, but the job and people are great. I still get hell about being a "Green
Weenie" it's a pathetic nickname, but oh well.
Andy Gundlach '02
I am working for my family HVAC business, Gundlach Sheet Metal Works, Inc., in Sandusky doing Sales, CAD design, and project coordination. Nothing overly exciting but I did take 23 Kids from my church's Youth Group (Zion Lutheran in Sandusky) to Juarez, Mexico for a week to help build houses and play with local kids in a Kids Club designed for kids who's parents work 10-12 hour shifts in the American factories and don't have a lot of time to spend with their children.We went in July '05.

Dating a sassy Eastern European blonde volleyball player with a wicked body, and just finished Season 3 of "The Shield".
